Airtanker · top speed 230 kt
C-130H Hercules
The big airtanker. 4,000 gallons in the cargo hold, released over 8 seconds. Reloads at the airtanker base.
Loadout
Cargo-hold tank
4,000 gallons
Fill: Starts loaded. Land and stop on the reload pit at the airtanker base: refilled in about 20 seconds.
Drop: Released over 8 seconds, so one load can make several drops.
Flying the Hercules
You start loaded on the runway. Throttle up, lift off at about 95 kt (later with a full load) and fly to the fire. The game flies it at gameplay speeds so drops stay readable.
To reload, land back on the runway, taxi onto the reload pit by the red truck (look for the light beam and REFILL HERE sign) and stop. At idle the brakes hold you.
Tips
- Lay long lines across the path of the fire rather than single spots.
- The airfield grass is fine to roll on, so there is room to turn around on the ground.
The real Hercules
The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is a four-engine military transport. Fitted with a large tank in the cargo hold, it becomes a large airtanker that lays long lines of water or retardant ahead of a fire.
Airtankers can't scoop: after each drop they fly back to an airtanker base, where ground crews reload them from a pit beside the ramp.
Dip & Drop isn't affiliated with any aircraft maker or operator. The model and paint are the game's own; numbers are tuned for play.
Where you'll fly it
The Hercules isn't assigned to a graded fire, so take it up in Free Play, or hope the Daily Fire hands it to you.
Every aircraft is in Free Play, and the Daily Fire picks one for each day.
