About
About Dip & Drop
A simple, fun game that flies the aircraft you see working wildfires.
Why it exists
Dip & Drop was made by someone who works in aerial firefighting and couldn't find a simple, fun game that let them fly the different kinds of aircraft seen working fires in the field.
The goal is to be fairly realistic in the ways that matter (how the water comes out, how each aircraft refills, how fire runs uphill and downwind) while staying easy to pick up. Snorkels, buckets, scoops and the reload pit all work the way they do on a real fire. Fill times are shortened, so you spend your time flying.
What's in it
- Seven aircraft in nine setups, from a Huey with a bucket to a C-130 airtanker.
- A valley with a town, cabins, lakes, creeks, forests and mountains, and fires that spread with fuel, slope and wind.
- A guided Training Fire, five graded fires, a Daily Fire and Free Play.
- Pilot ranks, a logbook and paint schemes.
What's next
iPhone and Android versions with touch controls are planned. Sign up to hear when they're ready, and follow the news for updates.

Dip & Drop isn't connected to any aircraft maker, operator or agency. Aircraft are shown with generic paint schemes, and their names are used only to describe them.
