Short description

Fly firefighting helicopters and airtankers. Fill up, drop, save the town.

Description

Wildfires are burning in the valley. Take off in a firefighting helicopter or airtanker, fill up at the lakes, and drop on the fire before it reaches the town and the cabins in the woods.

Dip & Drop was made by someone who works in aerial firefighting and wanted a simple, fun game that flies the aircraft seen working fires in the field: realistic in how the water comes out and how each aircraft refills, and easy to pick up.

Features

  • Seven aircraft, nine setups: CH-47 Chinook, S-64 Skycrane, UH-60 Black Hawk, UH-1H Huey, CL-415 Super Scooper, AT-802F Fire Boss, C-130H Hercules, some with a choice of tank or bucket.
  • Real ways to fill: hover-snorkel from a lake, dip a bucket on a long line, scoop the water on the run, or land and reload at the airtanker base.
  • Water that behaves: it keeps your forward speed, drifts with the wind and spreads with height. A drop guide shows where it will land.
  • Fires that fight back: they run uphill and downwind, throw spot fires and threaten houses.
  • Modes: a guided Training Fire, five graded fires, a Daily Fire that's the same for everyone, and Free Play.
  • Progress: stars, pilot ranks from Trainee to Chief Pilot, a logbook and unlockable paint schemes.
