A computer with a keyboard and mouse and an up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. The game uses 3D graphics (WebGL), and a Graphics: Low setting helps on older laptops.

Not yet: the web version is flown with a keyboard and mouse. iPhone and Android versions are planned. Sign up on the mobile page to get one email when they are ready.

Seven aircraft in nine setups: the CH-47 Chinook (internal tank or Bambi bucket), S-64 Skycrane, UH-60 Black Hawk (belly tank or bucket), UH-1H Huey with a bucket, CL-415 Super Scooper, AT-802F Fire Boss and the C-130H Hercules airtanker.

It is an arcade-style flight game with realistic firefighting ideas: helicopters hover-fill with snorkels or dip buckets, scooper planes skim lakes, airtankers reload at a base, water keeps your forward speed and drifts with the wind, drops work best from 100 to 300 feet, and fire runs faster uphill and downwind. Fill times are shortened to keep it fun.

Someone who works in aerial firefighting and wanted a simple, fun game that flies the kinds of aircraft seen working fires in the field. It is not affiliated with any aircraft maker or firefighting operator.

A new fire every day that is the same for every player, with a twist such as Dry Day, Spot Fires or Wind Shift. Try it as many times as you like; your best result counts, and you can copy a spoiler-free result to share.

Each graded fire gives up to three stars: one for containing it, two for also losing no houses and keeping the acres burned under a target, and three for doing that fast. Stars from fires and Daily Fires raise your pilot rank from Trainee to Chief Pilot and unlock paint schemes in the Hangar.

Yes, in your browser on this device. Open Save & backup from the menu to copy a backup code you can paste into another browser or computer.

Only anonymous gameplay stats (for example, which fires people finish) with no cookies, no names and no IP addresses, and you can switch them off in About. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are never tracked. See the privacy policy for details.
