Scooper plane · top speed 160 kt
AT-802F Fire Boss
A single-engine air tanker on amphibious floats. Smaller and nimbler than the Super Scooper; scoops 1,200 gallons in the game.
Loadout
Hopper tank
1,200 gallons
Fill: Scoop while planing on a lake at 35–105 kt: full in about 8 seconds. Or reload at the airtanker base in about 12 seconds.
Drop: Released over 5 seconds, so one load can make several drops.
Flying the Fire Boss
It flies like the Super Scooper with a lighter touch: slower speeds, tighter turns and a lower lift-off speed. The tank is raised from the real 800 gallons for gameplay.
Its long release lets you lay a line of water along a fire edge, or split one load into a few short drops.
Tips
- Use it to lay water lines ahead of the fire as firebreaks. Wet ground won't burn for about 5 minutes.
- The smaller ponds work for it if you line up along their longest side.
The real Fire Boss
The Air Tractor AT-802F is a single-engine air tanker developed from a crop-dusting design. On amphibious floats it becomes the "Fire Boss", which can scoop about 800 gallons from a lake in around 15 seconds while skimming.
Small and quick, it can scoop smaller lakes than the big flying boats and turn tightly over the fire.
Dip & Drop isn't affiliated with any aircraft maker or operator. The model and paint are the game's own; numbers are tuned for play.
Where you'll fly it
The Fire Boss isn't assigned to a graded fire, so take it up in Free Play, or hope the Daily Fire hands it to you.
Every aircraft is in Free Play, and the Daily Fire picks one for each day.
